A new member joins the family this year Camaro: 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 the. Equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8 to 580 horsepower and 556 lb-ft of torque generates foot, the ZL1 is the most powerful Camaro ever offered from the factory. It joins the line-up of the V-6 and V-8 powered sports coupe as a direct challenge to the high-horsepower versions of the Dodge and Ford competitors, the Challenger SRT8 and Mustang Cobra.

Apart from the addition of the ZL1, the Camaro lineup has few changes for the 2012 model year. Still early in the design cycle, the Camaro upgrades this year, mainly involving electronic updates and comfort. Chevy celebrates its 45th anniversary with a special 45th anniversary appearance package for the 2012 Camaro.

GM extends Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 line up with the model that scream (and are willing to pay) for a more powerful model. A 45-year anniversary appearance package is also offered as well. Other changes include a standard real spoiler on the 2012 Chevy Camaro, redesigned instrument panel, Bluetooth availability, rearview camera system, and six-way powered passenger seat.
