Mechanically, the Chevrolet Silverado, the new model year intact. Besides the new GPS navigation system, the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado get two new appearance packages. The White Diamond Edition, offered on the 2012 Chevy Silverado LT and LTZ models add exclusive Diamond White Tricoat exterior paint and chrome mirror caps and door handles. LT models get side moldings with chrome accents, while the LTZ version adds the Z60 high-performance suspension package, touring tires, 20-inch chrome wheels and chrome exhaust tip and hook. Custom Sport Truck, rake tion back to the original 1967 truck, including 5.3-liter V-8, heavy-duty towing package, 20-inch wheels, chrome door handles and EZ-lift locking tailgate. Chevrolet throws in four new exterior color choices - Silver Ice Metallic, Mocha Steel Metallic, Carbon Flash Metallic and Graystone - and two new interior color combos: Dark Titanium / Light Titanium and Dark Cashmere / Light Cashmere.

The Z71 Off-Road Appearance Package is available on LT and LTZ extended properly equipped and crew cab models. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ models can now be optioned with heated / cooled front seats. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models now come standard with cruise control and a spare slot.

There are no significant exterior and interior styling changes to the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. Chevy Silverado LS and LT models have a chrome border around the new chrome grille, lower bumper painted silver, and the new 20-inch chrome wheels fit. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ models remain a body-color surround use their rosters. There are no striking changes in the interior of the Chevrolet Silverado, which is still very utilitarian, especially in the Chevy Silverado WT model. Chevrolet now offers two new interior color combinations - Dark Titanium / Light Titanium and Dark Cashmere / Light Cashmere - for the model year. Optional heated and cooled seats are now available on the LTZ models, while all 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 models come standard with cruise control and a spare slot.
